Communicating with others about nature is personal to me, and letter-writing can be a very personal way of sharing experiences. And so I have written a couple of brief publications over the past three years or so. Each can be downloaded as a free pdf, using the links below.
I wanted to write to kids, but since the writing was aimed at older kids/teens who enjoy reading, I hoped that many of the letters would be of interest to adults as well. And so I’ve changed the title to Letters to Nature “Folks.”
In those short pdf publications, I talk about some place I thought readers might like or about something that lives there. I include a few photos as well.
Letters From the Woods literally come from the woods, or sometimes from prairies or other places in nature. When I am out somewhere, I write about it in my journal, and that becomes a letter to you. Even if the discussion and wording is a bit more oriented to adult readers, some kids might enjoy them, too.
If you like these letters, I hope you will support my work with a donation in whatever amount seems right. You can do that using my PayPal account. I would also love to hear back from you, with your comments or suggestions. You could use the contact form or email livesinnature@outlook.com.
